Milk and Cream and Cheese, Oh My!

My goal when we first started talking about homesteading was in securing the most basic of food options. Bread, Eggs, and Milk. Goats were the obvious option of dairy animals. They eat 1/4 of what cows do, and you can have more of them on smaller acreage. Now that we have had goats for a year, I don’t know that I would do it any other way. Goat milk is delicious and versatile for making cheeses and other delicious items.
